The world is gradually turning into a technology village where recently there has been a lot of technological development in term of Artificial Intelligence (AI) flourishing to help humanity in his daily activities.
One of such development is the use of robots in various aspect of human life from homes to offices and even in vehicles which all made it easy for a human to relax while its robot does the work for him.
The use of robots was also seen in Enjoy Budapest Café, where robots are being used to serve up foods, drinks, tell jokes, dance with kids and hang out for a chat with customers.
The Café which was open by an IT company, E-Szoftverfejlesztő in the Hungarian capital has its waiters and servers being a team of robots which aim to help familiarize the public with the technological revolution in automation and artificial intelligence.
Some of the robots act as waiters who serve specific orders (food and drinks) to customers through a demarcated walkway, customers are not allowed to pass through this walkway in order not to interfere with the robots’ movement. Others entertain the customers by dancing and chatting with them whenever it is required.
The robots were developed by Japanese company Softbank and one of them, “Pepper” who acts as the receptionist was well modified to hear customers directly even in a noisy environment.
When the owner of the restaurant, Tibor Csizmadia was asked if the switch to artificial intelligence has reduced its number of employees? He replied;
We actually employ twice as many people as before, because to operate 16 to 20 robots from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. we need to have IT specialists in the background
